The best men’s running shoes for wide feet

1. Brooks Ghost 14

Pros:

  • This model comes in standard (D), wide (2E), and extra wide (4E) so no matter your needs, you should find a Ghost 14 that fits you.
  • This shoe is designed for runners doing varied distance runs over varied terrain.
  • Great grip. It should work on anything you throw at it, rain or shine.
  • No need for a break-in. If needed, it would possible to do a 5K on day one.

Cons

  • If you run in hot weather, this shoe lacks breathability for hot summer days.
  • Not not a tempo or race-day shoe. If you’re looking to beat your PRs, the Brooks Hyperion Tempo might be a better option.

Weight:
Men’s: 10.1 oz / 287 grams.

2. Brooks Adrenaline Gts 22

Pros

  • For runners with wide and/or flat feet comfort is always an issue. But not with this shoe as the toe box room is wide enough.
  • It’s extremely well put together and the comfortable and spacious interior has no hot spots.
  • A reliable running shoe whether you run 2 or 12 miles.

Cons

  • Some runners mention that there’s a 25mile break-in period.
  • The 12mm hill drop could make it slightly harder to relax the pace.
  • If you frequently run on wet surfaces, this shoe has only an average grip.

Weight:
Men’s: 10.4 oz / 295 grams

3. Brooks Launch 9

Pros:

  • The roomy toebox and the lacing width allow you to control how the upper fits over the top of the foot.
  • Compared to its predecessor, the Launch 8, the Launch 9 feels lighter, even as it seems to have more cushion.
  • If you run in hot weather, this shoe is quite breathable.

Cons:

  • The outsole can wear down rather quickly.
  • Not a true speed trainer. If you’re looking to beat your PRs, the Brooks Hyperion Tempo might be a better option.
